"These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth." - Genesis 2:4
No doubt about the fact that Genesis is the book of beginnings. There we find the account of creation from nothing to man kind. However creation doesn't stop there. While we were all formed in the mind of God from the foundation of the world, (Ephesians 1:4) we are now fulfilling our created purpose. He is our creator, our originator, and he requires that we be the masterpiece creation that was in his mind from the beginning. What does that mean?
Well, in the book of Romans 12:1-2, It tell us that we are to be living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God. That we are not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Conformed comes from a Greek word that means to be a copy, and transformed comes from a Greek word which means to be an original creation. We are to be a reflection of our Creator. Our life is made new by His Word and His Spirit.
So today I challenge you to answer honestly this question, are you a copy of the world, or and original of the Creator?
Prayer: Father I thank you for being in your mind. I thank you that when you created me, you had a divine purpose for me to fulfill. I pray that you help me to never be satisfied with anything less than being your masterpiece creation.
Help me to fill my mind with your word so that I can be transformed daily. I thank you for this in Jesus name. Amen.
